Christmas Waste Collections
It’s that time of year again! 🎄🎁📦
Chichester District Council have announced their revised waste collection days as below. Any extra waste from the holiday period will be picked up by collection crews on the first collection after Christmas. If residents have any extra recycling, they need to ensure that it is kept dry in a loosely tied black sack and placed next to their recycling bin on the day of collection.
There will also be changes to clinical waste collections, with affected residents to be contacted directly.
Don’t forget you can get reminders of which bin needs to go out on which day if you download the Chichester District Council app.

Proposed EV Charging Points on Cowdray Road
The Parish Council has been informed that a public consultation is underway for the installation of six electric vehicle charging points on Cowdray Road. Should you wish to express your views on this matter, positive or negative, please follow the link below and complete the form.
Vandalism at Easebourne Park
Vandals have once again targeted Easebourne Park, this time breaking a general waste bin from it’s fixings and causing it to tilt. It is a real shame that there are people within our community who think it is acceptable to damage property and who clearly do not realise that this takes public money and resources to resolve. If you are ever in the Park and spot anyone damaging property or mis-using equipment please do let us know so that we can check our CCTV and try to find the individuals responsible.
Park/School Car Park Closure
Please note that the car park will be closed on Friday morning (25th October) to allow the school to carry out urgent works at that end of the building. This was the most convenient time as the school is closed to students for an inset day. It is hoped that the works should be complete by midday.
Pensioners in the Chichester District Urged to Apply for Pension Credit
Could you or someone that you know be missing out on Pension Credit? Pensioners in the Chichester District Area are being urged to apply for Pension Credit to boost income.
Chichester District Council is concerned that those eligible for the state pension (www.gov.uk/state-pension-age), could be missing out on payments, which could give them cash and provide access to the Winter Fuel Payment.
They are especially keen to raise awareness following a government announcement that only those receiving Pension Credit, or other means tested benefits, will now be eligible for the Winter Fuel Payment.
The deadline to apply for Pension Credit and still receive the Winter Fuel Payment is 21 December 2024.
