Picnic in the Park success

2022’s Picnic in the Park took place last Saturday and was deemed to be another successful free event for the village.

We were treated to live music from Baby Eleanor and Yukon Bass, teas and coffees by the Church, delicious cakes and bakes from Pinders Patisserie, ice-creams from Deluca’s, Facepainting by the Guides, our Friends of Easebourne Parish, the school PTA, fundraising by the Parish Council and the Scouts.

The weather held out and several hundred parishioners enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. A big thank you to everyone who joined us!

Onto planning now for 2023!

Midhurst Green Volunteers are BACK!

The Midhurst Green Volunteer team are back in the village for the next TWO Saturdays, the 6th and the 13th August, working their way along the length of Wheelbarrow Castle, trimming verges, cutting back the undergrowth, edging, sweeping and tidying!

They meet from 8am and the tasks are usually finished by 10am. Everything is provided, you just need to bring yourself and if you have them a pair of gloves!

Today they were working their magic at St Ann’s Hill – a lot was achieved with only a handful of helpers. As well as strimming, mowing, raking and sweeping, today saw a very large bag full of rubbish including a lot of empty bottles and even a laptop battery collected from just around the Hill 🙁

More help is always appreciated so please have a look at your diaries and pop along to show your support on these dates if you can. Believe it or not it’s good fun and a very productive way to start your weekend!

Easebourne Park Gets Toilet Facilities

The Parish Council is delighted to announce that a temporary loo has been provided in Easebourne Park for use during the 2022 school holidays.
It will open daily from 7am to 7pm and be cleaned every day.  If you notice any issues with cleaning please contact the cleaning contractor directly, Wettons, on 07775 922 729.
This temporary loo will be replaced by two permanent toilets in 2023, but in the meantime we hope it will be a welcome addition to the park.

War Memorial Restoration Work

The work is now underway on the War Memorial. The contractors are using conservation techniques and approved methods, so the Memorial will not appear as ‘brand new’, but will be clean and water tight again. The contractors will return in a week or so, and are currently working on matching the colour of mortar they will use with the colour of the stone.
