We understand from the Midhurst Vision Team that the feedback so far has been very positive but the more people who complete the very short survey the better – it is literally only 3 questions. The number of respondents may influence if/how much funding is available to make some of these proposals a reality.
• Please fill in the survey yourself if you haven’t already – it only takes 5 minutes
• Please email your friends and colleagues who live/work in or Midhurst or Easebourne or just visit Midhurst to do it too
• If you use social media please like/share posts from @midhurstvision or post the direct link to the online survey https://hooli-ltd.surveysparrow.com/s/midhurst-vision-consultation-oct-2022/tt-7456ad5b67
• If your own organisation/company has a website or database please share this request or email it to your staff

New Initiative to launch: Midhurst Community Hub
Midhurst Community Hub is a new start -up venture for the town and its surrounding area.
The Hub is a one-stop-shop advice centre which will provide convenient, face to face services for local people. The Hub will have the ability to reach out to other organisations if required to meet the client’s needs. It will be partnering with agencies that have expertise in relation to: food/energy poverty, debt/benefits and financial management issues, housing/maintenance issues, employment/skills needs, relationship/family issues, health/depression/loneliness, addictions, transport problems.
The Hub will be staffed by volunteers and will be based in the Library at the Grange centre. It is planned to be fully operational by late November, opening on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings. It will also be accessible as a website and by a single phone number.
If you are interested in volunteering or helping in any way please contact:

2022’s Picnic in the Park took place last Saturday and was deemed to be another successful free event for the village.
We were treated to live music from Baby Eleanor and Yukon Bass, teas and coffees by the Church, delicious cakes and bakes from Pinders Patisserie, ice-creams from Deluca’s, Facepainting by the Guides, our Friends of Easebourne Parish, the school PTA, fundraising by the Parish Council and the Scouts.
The weather held out and several hundred parishioners enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. A big thank you to everyone who joined us!
Onto planning now for 2023!
If you’ve not already heard, a new Easebourne Community Speedwatch group has been established in the village and they are looking for volunteers to help increase awareness of speed limits and make our village safer.
To find out more, please find them on Facebook by searching ‘Easebourne Community Speedwatch Group’ or by emailing Michael on easebournespeedwatch@gmail.com.
There’s an introductory meeting this Thursday, 8th September at 7pm in the Primary School, where the local Police Officer responsible for the Speedwatch initiative will be on hand to explain more and demonstrate the latest equipment. Please let Michael know if you would like to attend.
Due to the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and ten days of mourning, it is necessary to cancel all Parish Council events. All Parish Council meetings are permitted to continue and therefore the Full Council Meeting on 14th September 2022 will take place.
The Midhurst Green Volunteer team are back in the village for the next TWO Saturdays, the 6th and the 13th August, working their way along the length of Wheelbarrow Castle, trimming verges, cutting back the undergrowth, edging, sweeping and tidying!
They meet from 8am and the tasks are usually finished by 10am. Everything is provided, you just need to bring yourself and if you have them a pair of gloves!
Today they were working their magic at St Ann’s Hill – a lot was achieved with only a handful of helpers. As well as strimming, mowing, raking and sweeping, today saw a very large bag full of rubbish including a lot of empty bottles and even a laptop battery collected from just around the Hill 🙁
More help is always appreciated so please have a look at your diaries and pop along to show your support on these dates if you can. Believe it or not it’s good fun and a very productive way to start your weekend!
