Winter Management
Each year prior to the Winter season the Parish Council inspects the various salt/grit boxes in the Parish and submits a request to West Sussex County Council to top-up the bins. Should you find a bin is empty please email the clerk ( parishclerk@easebourne.org ) stating clearly the location of the bin, and the Clerk will request further salt/grit from the County Council.
The County Council will grit bus routes in icy conditions but not side roads. In the event of heavy snowfall, on side roads which are well-used, the Parish Council can activate a plan for snow to be cleared by County Council registered contractors.
