New Speedwatch Group

If you’ve not already heard, a new Easebourne Community Speedwatch group has been established in the village and they are looking for volunteers to help increase awareness of speed limits and make our village safer.

There’s an introductory meeting this Thursday, 8th September at 7pm in the Primary School, where the local Police Officer responsible for the Speedwatch initiative will be on hand to explain more and demonstrate the latest equipment. Please let Michael know if you would like to attend.

Midhurst Green Volunteers are BACK!

The Midhurst Green Volunteer team are back in the village for the next TWO Saturdays, the 6th and the 13th August, working their way along the length of Wheelbarrow Castle, trimming verges, cutting back the undergrowth, edging, sweeping and tidying!

They meet from 8am and the tasks are usually finished by 10am. Everything is provided, you just need to bring yourself and if you have them a pair of gloves!

Today they were working their magic at St Ann’s Hill – a lot was achieved with only a handful of helpers. As well as strimming, mowing, raking and sweeping, today saw a very large bag full of rubbish including a lot of empty bottles and even a laptop battery collected from just around the Hill 🙁
