Round up from Councillor Dan Kilty –

Around 30 Easebourne residents gathered on Saturday morning for an engaging and practical defibrillator and resuscitation training session.

Led by local paramedic Jamie Lovell, the workshop guided attendees through a real-life emergency scenario before giving everyone the chance to practise essential CPR skills on Resusci-Annie manikins to the beat of “Stayin’ Alive”, helping participants keep the correct rhythm while following the calm, clear prompts of the training defibrillators.

It was hands-on, energetic, and at times physically demanding — with a few people likely feeling it in their shoulders the next day — but the session offered an invaluable opportunity to understand what can happen in an emergency and to build confidence should the need to act ever arise.
