Gilroy`s script is as serious as it is trembling, oscillating between thoughtful graceful notes and ridiculous action rhythms. It clearly wants to be one of those movies that makes you say, “They don`t make them that way anymore,” but it`s often a lot more sloppy than a lot of the New Hollywood movies of the `70s that he emulates.

Every raw feeling was shown by every character on screen in Just Mercy, and it`s admirable to see how Oshea Jackson Jr. adapted to the role physically and emotionally, as viewers totally love her perseverance. As the credits went on and the real Walter McMillian was exposed, it was nice to see how Mr. Foxx had done such a good job of transitioning to this character. The woman who found her is brought by the police, but she protests that she is innocent.

His string of successes continued with The Client, which tells the rather simple story of a brave young boy (Brad Renfro) who commits suicide, and the resourceful lawyer (Susan Sarandon) who helps him take control of the system. (Tommy Lee Jones, a bit of his game here, has less to do than the ego-motivated district attorney.) As in The Firm, The Client`s mafia elements are ridiculous, filled with cartoon villains and mind-blowing legal maneuvers, and the suspense sequences towards the end flirt with total boredom, but director Joel Schumacher, who also directed the 1996 adaptation of Grisham`s A Time to Kill, plunges the film into an exaggerated swampy atmosphere. The dynamic between Renfro and Sarandon makes it one of the most touching entries of its kind. Marshall has a fantastic story that is well acted upon and conveyed fairly, so we had to include it in our list of the best theater drama movies on Netflix. This is one of Chadwick Boseman`s best performances: although Marshall was not allowed to speak in court, he was still quite intimidating. Josh Gad was also excellent in this film, like everyone else, even more, the soundtrack is also excellent, which perfectly complements the theme.
