Wheelbarrow Castle Field

Brief

Easebourne Parish Council took a lease from West Sussex of the Wheelbarrow Castle field at the end of 2015 recognising that this would be an opportunity to secure some green space for the Parish.

There have been discussions over the years about how the field could be best used but the intention has always been to move the playground to the field and this is what the Parish Council is concentrating on at the moment.

This area of the website will be used to update residents on progress with the plans and to inform you of key dates and village consultations taking place.

Playground equipment to be removed end of January

The equipment on the existing playground is being removed at the end of January 2017 to give the Parish Council time to carry out remedial work to the playground site before handing the field back when the lease of the existing playground comes to an end.

Plans for the new playground are underway and the field committee is speaking to a number of contractors and are waiting for some initial design ideas which the field committee can discuss and progress in the early part of next month.
