New year, new challenge?

It’s that time of year when you might start thinking about doing something new, taking on a new challenge or getting involved in a local activity. One way you could tick ALL of those boxes is to become a Parish Councillor!

Your Parish Council has space for 2 new Councillors to get involved in all aspects of our work within the Parish. From Planning consultations to Highways management, Easebourne Park enhancements to Communications and from Finance to Footpaths. There are also a number of strategic projects you could get involved in if that’s your thing.

You don’t need previous Councillor experience and there are no specific qualifications. Full training is available but most of all you should have a passion for your community and a willingness to get involved.

As a full Council we meet 6 times a year and with specific committee and panel meetings in between, depending on what areas you get involved in.

If you’re interested to learn more, please get in touch with Sharon, our Parish Clerk on to arrange an informal chat over a coffee!
