We’re delighted to announce that today we have received full planning permission to construct a multi-use covered shelter within Easebourne Park!
The concept of a shelter came from the Parish wide survey that we carried out in January this year. It will sit just inside the Park at the bottom of the natural slopes that lead down from the car park and will be partly constructed with wood donated from the Cowdray Estate and with a living green roof in order to blend in with it’s surroundings. The shelter is being entirely funded by grants from The National Lottery, Chichester District Council and The Grange, for which we are immensely grateful.
We are now able to progress the design with local structural engineers and fine-tune the features with a view to beginning construction during the second half of March 2020. More details about the design, timings and other proposed additions to the Park will be announced in January.
